CNY Train station people watching.

My beautiful friend, Lisa Browne, and I went to the Shanghai Railway station today and the Hongqiao Railway station to do some people watching as they all head home for the CNY holiday. Crazy amount of people and if I had my children with me and actually had to go somewhere, it would have been overwhelming but just hanging out and enjoying was a laugh. We had people stop to ask us if we needed directions because we were basically the only two Lao wies (foreigners) there and I think they thought we were lost 😂😂. But very kind! We also met a new friend, Mandy, from Anhui. She asked us if she could take a selfie with us and we chatted for a while in Chinese and English. We going to get together after the holidays for us to practice speaking Chinese and she can practice English. 👍👍

There was only one cranky security guard that wouldn’t let us in the Shanghai railway station because we didn’t have a ticket anywhere. He kept saying “bu shi” which means No and we kept pleading our case and finally he said “NO”. We should have asked him for a selfie….he probably would have said “NO”.  😂😂. Beautiful people all around and Lisa captured some specil moments.

Lisa is an amazing photographer and we have her booked to take our family photos at a couple different locations around Shanghai in February.  I can’t wait for that. Check out her website http://www.capturingthefabulise.com or on instagram capturingthefabulise. She is really gifted and always on the go taking cool photos.

So here are some photos from our day.

Our subway home. Completely different from the ride there.

They really wanted to let us in the train station but weren’t allowed. Sweet sisters. Lisa’s blonde, curly hair was like a homing beacon in a sea of people.  I would have lost her otherwise 😂Photo credit: Lisa Browne http://www.capturingthefabulise.comPhoto credit: Lisa Browne http://www.capturingthefabulise.comWhere’s Michelle??
